OK- sooooo- yesterday was 10 min on the treadmill, 10 min on the bike, and a nice circuit through the weight machines. Somehow, I always find the weight work more rewarding than the cardio.

Today there is an early morning yoga class I'd like to do, but it's just too early for me. This will either work out to be a walk at home while listening to my iPod day, or else a yoga at home day.

And besides- I need to be off to care for the animals. It's so hard to get myself motivated to do it, but I always enjoy caring for the animals when I do it. It just makes me happy to see how happy they are. But-leaving the house- that's hard.

Well- I'm going to try to keep up with my exercise here. If it gets way boring, I do apologize, but it's just nice to have a place to write all this stuff.

Today was a pilates class. I didn't go intentionally, I'm not really a pilates person, but my schedule just didn't work out to make the yoga class I wanted, and I had last months schedule, so what I thought was yoga was piltes.

It was good though- I need the core stuff like you wouldn't believe. And- it was beginner level- about all I can handle right now, thank you.

Dang- these are like real questions. I have to think and all. But, for mortifyd nothing is too much to ask.

1. What is your favourite colour, and why?Green- the color of healthy plants. Lame though it may sound, green is very relaxing and represents all that our life depends on to me.
2. Do you speak more than one language?I wish. I've taken French and Spanish, but I only speak them in numbers and foods.
3. What is the personality trait you admire most in others?Good question. I think this answer varies from day to day. I love intelligent people with a sense of humor. So- I suppose that comes out to be anyone who can make me laugh while I revel in their brilliance. Let's say Jon Stewart.
4. What is the personality trait you admire most in yourself? I suppose my strength. Which, isn't all I might hope for, but somehow it seems to be enough to get me through everything so far. I'd rather have it be my wisdom, but so far, not so much.
5. What do you hold as your highest accomplishment? Well- ether finishing my Ph.D. or managing to birth and bf my kids. not sure which- one was purely intellectual and the other purely phyical, and they both pushed me to my limits.

1.: Blaisezabini or drachonfire? Are you about to change name? Drachonfire for sure. The Blaize is left over from an old RPG, and I had most of my Flist already attached, so it was just easier than using a Drachonfire account and adding everybody.
2.: If you could have one of them who would it be? Snape or Rickman (assuming Snape was a real person) Rickman- no question. I love him with the long dark hair and dark contacts, but nope- only Alan will do. Snape is pure sex in my mind, but not so much in his. Not a good combination there.
3.: Is Rickman too old to portray Severus Snape? Nooooo. Never. Blasphemy.
4.: Do you have any cats? If yes how many? Any special breeds? Two cats. One is a rug wetter (is that a breed?) and the other just loves attention. Both tuxedo cats and very cute. The RW- not so bright. The other- well- she's as bright as the average cat.
5.: If you were trapped in a lift with Alan Rickman, what would you do? Stand around looking stupid. Pretend I hadn't noticed him. Possibly wet myself.

Hey all-

Still home sick. It's not awful or anything, but my ears are stopped up, and I can't think. I swear I am totally stupid. Go me!

My son is home too, so I'm not writing pr0n as I had intended to do last night. Nor did I get to go to yoga class. Which I had also intended. But, might have chosen not to on my own for that one.

Too bad about the pr0n- I reread some of my old stuff, and was dying to make it not suck. It's a cool story that I'd really like to finish. Quite long though.

Of course, it's OK, as most of y'all would hate it anyway. It's het.

You know- I've been meaning to write, but I've been sick. And lame. I've just been sitting here sick for the last few days. I want to do something, but I don't have the energy. Or, quite frankly, mental ablity. I'm a lame driver right now. Which is OK, since I don't think I have to go on the road for a few days. And, who knows- I could be better, right?

Ah well- I missed yoga class to sit around and let snot dribble through my eyes. It wasn't a choice, but a necessary action. Or inaction. Whatever. It was yucky and ugly. Now- my head is pounding and I have laryngigits and my ear is ringing. Note- one ear. The Dr promised me 10 days of this. Do I sound thrilled. I thought not.

Excitement. Well- I have gotten in touch with qutie a few old friends. That's nice. Made me happy. Can't really see well enough to read books. And, when I tried listening to my French stuff I foudn that my mind wandered too much to follow it. I'd be ther reading, and next thing I knew, she'd be 2 lines down. Made me seriously wonder about my sanity. I'm blaming it on her talking too damn fast.

OK- here's the start- I hope to fill in the days that are kind of lame. It just takes so long that only the first few are filled in for now. Umm- please be patient. I suck at this sort of thing. I promise- it was a lot more interesting than I'll make it sound.

Short version- we flew to Barcelona for a 3 day stay prior to our cruise. The first day we wandered down Las Ramblas- dead tired, but the hotel wasn't going to let us in til after 1. So we took the easy route and amused ourselves. Then we went back and went to sleep for 7 hours. It was lovely. Out for some food (Hard Rock Cafe- I hope y'all will forgive us for wimping out- but it was close to the hotel and easy). Then off for some nighttime walking and back to the hotel to sleep.

The next day we slept through breakfast, but we were a bit more alive, and started the day in a sandwich shop. It was nice- but then I'm a sandwich lover. We did tons more walking- down to the harbor and then back to the Picasso Museum. My son thought he wanted to see it- till we were there, of course. Then if got all boring and stuff. Still- we made our way through it and managed to see everything- not at the leisurly pace adults may use, but still- we did manage to see it all. I even snuck me a bit of a look at the archtecture and the old building itself while the boys went potty and waited in line for our bags. Then off to an actual Spanish restaurant whe I ordered Paella (quite frankly, my friend from Spain made better) and the kids had steak and eggs. Well- at least they ate it. Walked by that huge Cathedral that I should knwo the name of but don't. Saw those people dancing and then peeked in the windows. Well- it was closed and dark. I didn't actually get all that much out of it. Sorry. Walked back to the hotel and slept.

Woke up the next day and ate breakfast at the hotel. Waited to get on those tourist busses and went up to Park Guell. OK- this place has to be the most amazing place I have ever been in my life. Just gorgeous no matter how you view it. Of course it was full of people, but still- we wandered up to the top and peered down, and managed to let the kids play in a little park. Then back to the bus to drive the rest of the city. When we finished that, off to the other bus to see the other route. It's all so gorgeous. Someday I will have to go back.

Next day was the day we went on the boat. Lots of lines and driving and sitting and eating. Still- I love being on the water, so that was nice. Next two days we went to smaller coastal towns in Spain- Alicante and Malaga. I loved them both. Well- to be fair- didn't actually see much of Malaga except to drive through it. We went to the Caves in Nerja. Which was pretty amazing to me. The last day in Europe we did Lisbon for a walking tour. Then off to the ocean for 7 days. Landing in Miami and flying home.

Yesterday- Soccer. That pretty much covers it. Well- I did read The Grim Grotto. Quite fun. And, I finished the Traveling Pants- which I wasn't huge on the beginning, but settled into her style by the middle and enjoyed it. A very sweet book- but, it might have been too sweet for me at the appropriate reading age. Although, to be fair, I'd have read it at 10 or something, and then been disappointed when my life wasn't even as interesting as Tibby's.

Today I'm plugging along with Mr. Norrell. I like it, but I cannot read a ton of it. The pacing is slow- very slow. And, although I can quite enjoy slow, I cannot sit for 12 hours reading just slow. Sorry. Suppose this is why I love children's books so. The adult stuff- to intellectual for me.

Read the Patternworks catalog while eating too much. Found a couple things I'd like to make that I would actually spend the money on- but, I don't think I really have the time.

Oh yeah- I have to tidy up the house so the cleaning person can get teh scum off the floors. OK- that's a bit of an exaggeration- but, I do have 2 boys. The hamster cages need to be cleaned too. And I need to read and exercise and maybe even write. Soooooo- why am I wasting time here? Ah well- who knows, huh?

OK- day two of the every day thing! Woohoo for me- I've made it farutehr than I expected!!!

Actually, that's all crap. Kev is home sick today. But, he isn't all that sick, and is bouncing off the walls. And I'm tired and cranky because I was woken up during a dream and had to take him to the Dr. But, the good part is that she said he could go to school tomorrow. Yay!!!!

I was supposed to exercise today- and I might. We are taking a dance class tonight, so I figure that's an hour to an hour and a half. We're kind of dumb, so we don't always make it the full hour. Apparently dancing is a skill we aren't picking up so very quickly. I thought it would be a kind of cool thing for us to know ballroom dancing for our cruise- it might be fun one night, so we are learning. Personally, I think he's teaching us way too much. So far (2 weeks) we have leared waltz, cha-cha, rhumba and swing ( I think there's one more- as you can tell- I haven't actually learned all that much!). He has tango planned for tonight. Might be a bit too ambitious for us. Not to say- I'm perfectly happy to skip the rhumba. It confuses me. But, swing is pretty fun. I can see actaully wanting to be good at that. Waltz= really bloddy boring, and the cha-cha is OK, but nothing special. At least at our level.

OK- I'm going to try to update every day or so. Who wants to make a bet that I don't! Hehe- sorry. I really do intend to.

Began the day by waking up too late for the 11:15 service at church. Went out for lunch- the restaurant was exceedingly full, the kids quite noisy, and amazingly not the most annoying children in the place today. Had a bit of a laugh watching someone else's children poking around the bulk bins testing the candy. So nice when it's not MY job to discipline them, and the other patrons aren't looking at ME with disapproval.

Went to Target and bought too much stuff. Clothes for all of us. The boys now have Caroline shirts (and in Kev's case, pants) so they can appear in public on game days without fear of reprisal. Also bought potatoes to go under the beef stew. Which I might add smelled delicious when I put it in the crockpot this morning, and made the house all stewie.

Need to remember to go to the group sort to poke through other peoples donated clothing. A bit icky, but it helps the school earn money. And, we must all do all we can. And, unfortunately I can do this, and ever agreed to with a witness. Usually I do books, but have been so lax, I sometimes wonder if they even know me any more.

Hey- I actually did try to do this yesterday, but LJ was just not cooperating.

OK- not sure what excitement there has been in my life. THe kids are back in school. Soccer has kind of started (it was canceled yesterday and there's no game this weekend) so I'm getting back on schedule.

Paid my yoga teacher for the fall session yesterday! She's great- it's such a small class we all get lots of attention. I don't think it's ever been more than four people. Of course, the area we have is so small, I don't think we could fit more than 6. Still- it's nice because she starts off each class asking us where we are tight and what we want to work on, and tailors the class to us.

I'm writing more, and have my story about 80% outlined. I'm planning on it being part of a series (much though I love Harry Potter, this one is shaping up more like Narnia- with it involving many generations and families, and not just following one person over the course of time). That's kind of a bummer since that was always one thing I didn't like about Narnia. It's nice to have the characters stay the same. Still- that just doesn't seem to fit my story, so I suppose I'll just have to make all the characters as engaging as I can. I didn't like all the Narnia books equally, that's for sure.

Have to critique the stuff of a few friends. I hate that. I am getting to think that this isn't the best approach, no matter how much I have learned over the years I've been doing it. I think sometimes we just critique things to death, and take the spark right out of them.

Fine y'all- I'm jumping on the name meme bandwagon. Just to prove how very awful it can get. To be fair, my choices were limited- most were in Spanish. But, having looked through quite a few- I think this one is waaaaaay up there for the moat awful.

Linda Fay is half-blood, her mum's a witch, and her dad's a muggle. She is 4 months younger thsn Lily. She has mid-night back hair, but she has baby blue eyes that would make you melt if you looked into them. She is the funny one of the group and is alittle shy. Linda is Germanic for Serpent, and Fay is Latin-Old French for Faithful; fairy or elf. (So if you think about it, she is a faithful serpent, the Sepent of the Fairy's, or the Serpent of the Elf's, LoL.)-

It doesn't suck, but it's about a real Linda, and not a Mary Sue, so it doesn't count. I put it as a good idea, nearly adequately done. The ending annoyed me. Still- worth a read- good idea and short!
